Wangxiaohu in Chinese (王小虎), means little tiger, is the nickname of Wang, Yu (王豫) given by his grandpa before he was born in Zhengzhou, China. He has the best parents in the world, and a twin brother, Nan, who is 10 minutes older than him. Yu’s family and friends call him Xiaohu (小虎) always, and he loves his family and his first hometown very much.Yu had grown in his born place for 13 years, before he moved to Shenzhen, a city next to Hongkong, with his family in 1993. One year later, he entered Shenzhen Shiyan, a well known high school in the city. Yu had studied there for about 6 years and had many friends there, and some of them influenced Yu’s life and personality a lot. Yu called Shenzhen his second hometown.
Yu went to Hamilton, Canada in 1999, before his 18 years old birthday, to study. He studied in Columbia International College for about 1 year, and then came to McMaster University to study Computer Science. Yu transferred to Software Engineering program few months later, because he felt he was likely to be an engineering person instead of a scientist. He got his Bachelor of Engineering degree in 2005. Now Yu is a candidate of Master of Applied Science, in Department of Computing and Software at McMaster University.
