相信还有很多人的 Linux 分区还没有转到 ReiserFS，而是 Ext2/3。其实 Ext2/3 可以更加优化一下的。
首先找一张 Linux 启动盘，一般都是 rescue disc。进入 shell 以后，确认你要优化的 Ext2/3 分区没有被加载（mount），然后打：
# tune2fs -l /dev/hdX
/dev/hdX 就是你的 Ext2/3 分区盘号，比如我的电脑就是 /dev/hda2 。现在看看上面命令输出的结果有没有 ‘Filesystem features’ 一项，如果有的话，看看有没有 ‘dir_index’ 在里面，如果没有，就可以打：
# tune2fs -O dir_index /dev/hdX
这样就把 dir_index 这个功能加上了。
接着我们检查一下这个分区是否正常：
# e2fsck -D /dev/hdX
正常的话，重启就可以了。
不正常的话，恭喜，你又获得了一次重装 Linux 的机会！
Today I found an interesting website when visiting one of Jianshuo Wang’s blogs. Introduced in his blog, Jianshuo visited 30N 119E, an area close to Shanghai. (Correct me if I am wrong). He blogged his trip and also showed some pictures.
The website is called the Degree Confluence Project, whose goal is to collect texts and pictures of every latitude and longitude integer degree intersections in the world. Said in its front page:
The project is an organized sampling of the world. There is a confluence within 49 miles (79 km) of you if you’re on the surface of Earth. We’ve discounted confluences in the oceans and some near the poles, but there are still 12,066 to be found.
It seems to be a excellent source for people who dream to travel around the world, such as me. I opened several pages of this website, including pages for Henan, Guangdong and Ontario. These are the places where I visited in most of my life.
A world map indicating completed visits can be found here (think twice before clicking on the huge maps!) As can be seen on the map, the project is still incomplete. There are many interesting places not visited yet. Hope some day in future I can do some contributions.

In the news today, it is reported that Shenzhou VI, the sixth generation of China’s space shuttle, is going to be launched before October 15th. Currently there are 6 candidates waiting to be selected as Shenzhou’s pilots and the final decision might come out until 6 hours before the launching. There is going to be two pilots for the coming mission, where there was only one, Liwei Yang, last time. It is also reported that, Shenzhou VI is more advanced than its previous version, such as improvements were made on safety issues.
最近相对李敖在清华演讲比较不那么热门的一个话题，就是准备从清华退学的王垠。在他的博客列表上，很多人留言表示对他的轻蔑，更有人语重心长、苦口婆心地劝说他留下来，毕竟清华养育了他的成就。
每个人都有适合自己生存的地方。我中学的时候极其厌学，我的学生号在全年级每年的成绩排名都是放在倒数第二个位置。对班上那些提到什么数学竞赛物理竞赛就两眼发直的同学有种特别的厌恶。我高三的时候选择了离开学校，毕竟学校是重点，要照顾影响的。我在加拿大读高中，然后考上了全加排名十名之内的麦大本科……现在在攻读软件工程硕士学位，研究方向是离散事件系统。出国后的6年来，我独立开发过机器人上的控制软件，视频音频的传输……我狂热上了Linux（在读wangyin的那个疯子文章之前，说实话，他写的那个文章已经不能与时具进了，现在的Linux天天突飞猛进发展，至少有了LumaQQ），我从2003年开始电脑全部换Gentoo，Windows偶尔也会在别人的电脑上接触。学业方面，尽管难度比国内高中学的那些深很多，但是我没有一门不及格，跟中学时代天壤之别。我觉得这是我的进步，尽管会有人对这些进步嗤之以鼻，其中那些确实有才华的人也有这个资格，但我还是成功地让同学打死也不相信我这个曾经的高中痞子差生。
兄弟们，姐妹们，我中学成绩排名倒数啊！那个时候Sin跟Cos都分不清有什么区别啊！到了高二我已经厌学到了不去上课的程度。从一次又一次的逃离高考模拟考试的现场来看，我已经放弃了上大学的机会。不能敢说中国教育是失败的，因为我还年轻，经不起砖头；只能说西方的宽松环境对某些叛逆性很强的学生有着非常的吸引力。
我没王垠聪明，我都承认我在智商上是弱者了，要有人看不惯我以上的列举，再对我说三道四就是欺负人了。其实系里面的学长学友随便拉一个都比我牛B，我在这样一个学术强劲的环境里还是弱者。我当然不满足，我以后要去其它牛B的地方作弱者；然后再往上用我的自信，用我的叛逆，去更加牛B的环境做我的弱者。回过头，层层阶梯。如果宇宙是平行的，不知道另外一个年级倒数第二的“我”现在在中国会过得怎样。我很想念“他”。

我觉得王垠无论做了什么决定，只要他觉得合适，都是对的。别人无权对他指责什么。他都保证了他以后会回来报效祖国，其实他能在另外一个适合他的地方有更高的成就，何尝不是一件美事？
不怕后果，只怕后悔。做随波逐流的花朵，还是逆流直上的船叶？有时候做这个决定的不是你头盖里的脑髓，而是你胸骨里那个持续有力跳动着的小引擎。
When I was living in Shenzhen, before I came to Canada, there was a little restaurant next to the apartment where my family lived. Its name was called Jiawang (嘉旺) Fastfood. My favorite was a combo of the Italian Noodles and California Fried-rice. I was lovin’ it. I thought that was what people in America and Europe eats.
About 6 years ago, I came to Hamilton for study. The weather here is just as good as in Shenzhen, as well as the new friends I made. I have been enjoying food here too, such as pizzas and hamburgers. I am not picky on eating. After 1 year, I came to Mac. I noticed that there are several Chinese food restaurants around the campus, such as South China on main street, and Wokery in the basement of KTH.
South China is good, I love the spareribs with soybean sauce on rice (豉汁排骨饭). The restaurant is for pick up only. To get there and come back usually costs me 20 minutes, including waiting there, which not so convenient for a unversity student who only have few minutes between bunch of classes everyday. Wokery is on campus, that’s where I frequently go to. The first day I went there, Will, my new friend from U.S., introduced me his favorite, combo of Noodles with Chicken Balls on it. It looked nice and tasted not bad.
“I didn’t know Wokery has Canadian food too”, I said to him.
“No, Wokery has only Chinese food.”
“OK. Maybe this is from some where in China I’ve never been to.”, I said, pointing to the chicken balls with my fork.
“Have you ever been to Shanghai?”
“Yes. Several years ago.”
“It’s called Shanghai Noodle.”, said Will.
“OK. “
“Have you ever heard of California Fried-rice?” After a while, I asked.
“Nope. What is that?”
“Nevermind.”
